10-year anniversary - March 30, 2016
It was exactly ten years ago today, on March 30, 2006, that the FBI
secretly video taped me receiving a hundred bucks in cash from oil man Bill Allen as a gift for my step-daughter - to be used for an Easter egg hunt. It was the event that triggered the government's "Polar Pen" case, considered the biggest political scandal
in Alaska's history. Agents snuck into Allen's hotel room in downtown Juneau and concealed a tiny video device inside a group of plastic flowers. This so-called "iconic" video (a word used repeatedly by the press) is supposed to be the one enduring symbol
of the historic scandal. And it was this hundred dollars (5, 20 dollar bills), that was the "Justice" Department's centerpiece to supposedly justify prosecuting me, claiming it was a bribe. The Feds spent literally millions of tax dollars hounding me over
a tiny amount of money, chicken scratch as my lawyer put it. What evil perpetrates our government, where unscrupulous prosecutors hunt down innocent people and doggedly pursue convictions at any cost.
